...I miss these open spaces of the Southern Ontario countryside.

Where I live is a rugged landscape of granite, conifers and water. It's beautiful in its own right, and I am proud and privileged to live in such a picturesque area. But I also love the expanses of fields and farmlands, the long, open views of the area where I grew up. And where once I took this all for granted, to the point of ignoring it, now I appreciate it all the more whenever I have the chance to travel down there.
