April come she will
When streams are ripe and swelled with rain;
May, she will stay,
Resting in my arms again.
June, she'll change her tune,
In restless walks she'll prowl the night;
July, she will fly
And give no warning to her flight.
August, die she must,
The autumn winds blow chilly and cold;
September I'll remember
A love once new has now grown old.
-Paul Simon

School's back in, and in the spirit of that, the dogs and I have been working on some new lessons.
One has been taught to use her nose to open the cupboard door.
The other has learned to steal a ball from my back jeans pocket on the command ''pickpocket''.
Yeah, that's how we roll with dog training here. I mean if they excel at disobedience, why not develop their natural talents? Set them up to succeed?

“The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature.”
-Joseph Campbell
What nicer way to pass a morning
Than threading through a sunny meadow
Of goldenrod and cornflowers.
Ambling along,
Following the gambolling, rollicking romp
Of a happy canine companion or two
Exuberantly unleashed,
Under a cerulean sky
When, defying September, summer endures
Distilled, rich and sweet,
And time seems blissfully suspended.
