It's beginning to look a lot like...
...look what happened here today.
To give some context as to how ephemeral Autumn really is in this part of the world, the set of pictures I posted yesterday - the ones with the bright sunshine and golden autumn foliage - were all taken one week ago today.
This is the same patch of forest this afternoon.
At least the dogs are happy about it.

If it would only be this little each time... It is upon us I'm afraid, we'll try to enjoy the beauty at least until January.

Beautiful photos of a dusting of snow.. In a week the time falls back an hour and as the days get darker the onset of winter is around the corner...
