To Lisa

You were in my thoughts yesterday afternoon, as I painted this.

“If I had another life
I would want to spend it all on some
unstinting happiness.

I would be a fox, or a tree
full of waving branches.
I wouldn't mind being a rose
in a field full of roses.

Fear has not yet occurred to them, nor ambition.
Reason they have not yet thought of.
Neither do they ask how long they must be roses, and then what.
Or any other foolish question.”

How beautiful and sad. Extending understanding from here too to Lisa. I dread the day.

Big tears again but that is my Stella. Thank you for your unfailing friendship...my heart hurts so much but I know you understand.

I was truly blessed to have such a wonderful constant companion.

Beautiful painting. Such a typical reaction when a dog sees the ocean the first time...
