Fire and ice

A few more shots from around the village. The steeple of the Church of the Redeemer framed by snow-encrusted branches:

The lake is beginning to freeze over:

This is the main highway out of town:

The United church looking straight-out-of-a-postcard-pretty, although its door is snowed shut :

Why bring a tree indoors when you can just decorate one of the many outdoor ones?

The oxymoron that is an ice-encrusted fire station is entertaining. All of our firefighters are volunteers, by the way, and this is a good opportunity to thank them for all that they do, all year round:

This sign does seem a bit odd at the present moment:

The village is lovely all frosted in snow, but yes, it is ALOT of snow. Hoping it slows down for a bit.

A moderate fire danger? Somebody has a sense of humor.. My that is a lot of snow. Looking at it from a few thousand miles away though it looks really pretty but I would not want to live that way for 2-3 months out of the year.. The rest of the time I envy you out in the country so beautiful.. Gorgeous photos of your home town

I love taking the walk around the neighborhood with you. Don't light a match!
