a different kind of reflective

I often wonder what they are thinking...

It's a perfect spot for contemplation.

This afternoon, as the dogs played in the waves, I closed my eyes and just felt the sun on my face and the breeze lifting my hair. Inhaled the smell of the water and the nearby honeysuckle and cedars. Listened to the waves lapping on shore. Today was an indigo day, if I were to paint the water. Deep blue, with a gently wrinkled, ruffled surface. This morning there were sparkles on the distant waves, but this afternoon it was an unbroken tapestry of deep blues and violets, framed by luscious spring greens of foliage on the opposite shore.

And then a soggy tennis ball was deposited on my foot, and the spell was broken.

Indigo sounds perfect and I love this photo :) xox

(But, you should know better by now than to take your eye off the ball!)

Beautiful photo. You've caught her in such a reflective pose. It was a gorgeous day a bit south of you too.
