Find your happy place

So, today was annual health check and vaccinations and flea and tick preventive day at the vet.

Two dogs, all told, $760.00.

I wish I could get a clear-cut answer on the long-term effects of these preventives on a dog's health. Their lives are short enough as it is. But the flip side is the risk of heartworm or Lyme disease.

On the plus side, the dogs and the vet are seriously in love with one another, and they had a very happy reunion. He gets right down on the floor and they climb all over him.

And I got to listen to Soleil's heart beat through the stethoscope.

'Cause that's what it's really all about...

Worth every penny and you know it.

I've never been offered to listen to either dog's heartbeat...I must ask xox

I'm always thankful that we can afford proactivity when it comes to our pets' health. How sad it would be if we couldn't.

Polio has nearly been eliminated via a vaccine. So has the Measles, Whooping Cough and many others... If I had children (even knowing there will always be a risk) I would never want a child to experience these. Arwen and Soleil are your children, your pride and joy. I would do anything I could in the chance of preventing suffering from something preventable
