Awenda

July 10, 2016  •  6 Comments

We all needed a day off yesterday, so we headed out to Georgian Bay and took the dogs for a paddle at the dog beach at Awenda Provincial Park.

It was a close second to being on the seacoast: the Bay is so vast that all you can see is water meeting sky at the horizon, and the waves rolled in like tidal surf, or almost. The only thing missing was the smell of salt air.

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,

There is a rapture on the lonely shore,

There is society, where none intrudes,

By the deep Sea, and music in its roar:

I love not Man the less, but Nature more.

It IS vast and very like the ocean without the salt (which definitely has its advantages). Just stunning Paula. Glad you could all have that time together to be worry free. Just as stunning in mono as in color.

I love that area and I love your captures of the scenes there. My favourite is the one with the Giants Tomb Island (I think) on the right ;looks like a painting. Or is it the one with the light filtering through the canopy ofc trees? Or....
