apple blossom

June 16, 2017  •  4 Comments

After losing all of its blossom (and future fruit) last year due to a late cold snap, our apple tree outdid itself this year, with an abundance of blossom. These pictures were taken over the course of a week or so, when it was at its peak. The blossom is well gone already, and the tiny fruits are already beginning to develop. I love that the little ''swatch'' at the bottom of the apple is the remnant and product of each of these beautiful flowers.

It must have smelled heavenly. Sounds like you are going to have bumper crop of apples for the bears.

Such a wide range of techniques in these great flower photos... Hopefully you will have some warm apple crisp come fall ;-)

These flowers are so welcome when they are the first to arrive! Really pretty captures of them, hard to pick a favorite. And apples in the late summer/autumn a real treat.
