Beneath the detritus of time and season,
New life takes root, shrouded and nourished by death,
Reaching upwards for sun and air,
Hastening to the tyranny of time and change,
Adapting, morphing, racing to survive,
While dissembling tranquil constance to the human eye,
Which meters change in seasons and years,
Oblivious to the tiny flux of lesser things.
